Garrick, J. A. F. (1985). Additions to revision of the shark genus Carcharhinus: synonymy of Aprionodon and Hypoprion, and description of a new species of Carcharhinus (Carcharhinidae). NOAA Technical Report NMFS 34: iii + 26 pp.

 

Conservation Status

Last record 1902. Rediscovered in 2008 or 2009.

Previously only known from the holotype collected some 100 years ago or more, it has been recorded in recent fish market surveys (Moore et al. 2011).
