IUCN RedList status: Endangered

 

Known only from the (3) syntypes collected at an unspecified date sometime prior to 1943, from above the Senchi Rapids, Volta river, Ghana. Searches were mounted between 1961 and 1988 to relocate this species, but were unsuccessful (Harrison & Stiassny, 1999). It is probably extinct.
